The website your brand deserves.

Most studios show you a portfolio — this page is one. Every section below is a different design language: a different business, a different feeling. No templates, no page builders. Keep scrolling and watch the whole site change its mind nine times.

What it costs.

The mockup is free.

I build your homepage before any of this comes up — no invoice, no meeting, no obligation. Keep scrolling to see what one looks like. If it isn't right, we part friends. If it is, these are the numbers.

The fog we're named for — Pacifica, California

N° 01 — Old-World Classic

Some have been at it
since 1959.

Calamari in tomato sauce at Luisa's — the photograph the restaurant's own site opens with

San Francisco · Since 1959

Luisa's

Ristorante & Wine Bar

Luisa's

Family ristorante — real client site

The full story →

Aged paper, brass rules, a script with memory. For ristorantes, delis, and family institutions with a story worth setting in type.

This one's personal — my grandmother's restaurant in San Francisco. The plate above is the real thing — the same calamari her homepage opens on.

  • The real 50-dish menu
  • OpenTable reservations
  • Two rooms, one kitchen
  • A merch shop on their own Stripe

N° 02 — Warm & Organic

Some feel like
morning sun.

Cream, terracotta, honest type. For cafés, wellness bars, and anyone whose product is a feeling of home.

  • The full menu, its own page
  • Live Pacifica weather in the hero
  • 4.8★ · 63 Google reviews

N° 03 — Dark Luxury

Some brands whisper
in gold.

Serif editorial. Candle-lit palettes. Restraint. For brands that sell trust at a premium — and know silence is expensive.

  • Editorial typography
  • 3D starfield & grain
  • Built-in commerce

N° 04 — Storybook & Enchanted

Some are spun from
pure magic.

Blush, gold foil, a serif that curtsies. For the businesses that sell wonder — parties, keepsakes, and once-upon-a-times.

Built for a real client — a princess-party performer in San Diego with six original storybook princesses. It has to look magical to the kids and trustworthy to the parents booking it.

  • Painted castle film hero
  • Scroll-pinned royal court
  • Gold-foil package menu

N° 05 — Neon & Electric

Some light up
the whole block.

Neon over hand-painted script, a barber pole that never stops turning. For the corner shops people can find even in the fog.

Built for a real client — a teal-fronted barbershop in San Francisco's Excelsior. Their old site had gone dark, so the job was simple: turn the lights back on.

  • Living storefront hero
  • Split-flap service board
  • Live open / closed sign

N° 06 — Vinyl & Sunlight

Some turn heads
for a living.

Warm paper, a serif with some sun in it, and the room itself doing the selling. For the places whose whole appeal is walking through the door.

Built for a real client — a family-owned salon on Seabright Avenue in Santa Cruz, cutting hair since 2005. They had a stock template that could have belonged to any salon anywhere. This one could only be theirs.

  • Their own room as the hero
  • Services set like a record sleeve
  • Live open / closed hours

N° 07 — Bold & Defiant

Some refuse to believe in
bad hair.

Type loud enough to argue with, a colour that refuses to be sweet, and the work doing the talking. For the people whose craft is personal.

Built for a real client — a hairstylist and barber working out of Mill Valley and the SF Marina. Her old site rendered blank below the header, so her whole price list and her story were invisible to anyone who visited.

  • Her own line as the hero
  • A wall of what clients get told
  • Before-and-afters you drag
  • Every price, above the fold

One brief — six directions

Concept · not a client

There is no house style.

Tidemark is a seafood house I invented so I could design it six ways. Same name, same tagline, same four lines about the oysters, same one button — every word below comes from a single file. The only thing that changes is the art direction.

Your free preview works the same way. If the first direction isn't you, that isn't the end of the conversation — it's the start of it.

N° 08 — Interactive & Alive

What if the lightswere on?

wipe the fog

N° 09 — The UI Lab

Complex where it counts.
Clean where it matters.

Making you feel something is half the job — the other half is the interface itself. Glass, soft-touch, full skeuomorph, live data, fake 3D: different instruments, same hands. Everything below is real, working UI.

In their own words

The part I can't design.

It's a great site and an even better designer. Always on point and always working hard to get the job done.
